Howard is obtuse.

For him to say, "I don't celebrate that *&%#, I'm black," has got to be one of the most ignorant things I have ever heard.  Does he even know what he is talking about?  If anyone watches that tape his comment is not the only thing that is absurd.  The N word is dropped repeatedly by people that I am sure are quick to jump all over any white person who uses the N word.  They proved the stereotypes people have about the "thug" mentality.  These guys are losers who happen to be good at something that pays a lot.  If Howard could not play basketball he would not even be able to get hired at Wal-Mart.  To think parents allow their kids to look up to this guy as a role model is another massive problem in our culture.  I will bet there are a large population of kids today when the National Anthem is played will repeat his ignorance because they look up to him and want to emulate him.  Any parent who allows their kids to look up to this guy should be ashamed of themselves.  My hope is there are more people that are appalled at this guy than people who want to emulate him.  Ignorance is a disease, don't catch it, it will kill you.

This is completely off the sports topic...

Why do people out there say that they have customer service departments?  They should rename these divisions of the company "we don't care" departments.  I am amazed at the things that people will say in the name of customer service.  I actually had a woman tell me that they, a multi billion dollar company, were looking out for my best interest and that's why they could not replace my broken product.  I would love to bash a specific company but the list would be too long.  Does anyone else out there feel like there is absolutely no customer service left in business?  I go to dinner and actually have a server that does their job, not go above and beyond, just the normal aspect of their job and I am floored by the wonderful customer service.  I have come to expect lackluster customer service so when there is that person who just does their job I am blown away.  I wish more companies would hire customer service gurus and let them come in and explain to the employees how customer service = increased revenue = more money for the company to spend = less layoffs = more money and benefits for the employee.  I have a service business and I find customer service gets me more sales than my product.   I would love to see what other people think and see what their experiences are.
